Rotterdam from the horse`s mouth

We were booked to be on this cruise,but 3 days prior to sailing I had a heart attack with resultent by pass surgery.Glad it did not happen on board! Anyhow,our friends who were going with us did make it. They have given us thier report. Violent pitching with resultant broken windows,glasswear slideing tables chairs and even people . It seems that during the pitching , sludge from the fuel tanks became suspended with the fuel and plugged up the filters. when this happens the engines will shut down. For the time it took to correct this situation the ship was dead in the water. Much interior damage reported. All were offered half of the cruise cost refunded if they agreed not to hold HAL responsible . All in all, quite a trip. Kinda sorry I missed it!

Thanks for the report rodree. It doesn't look to me like it was anyone's fault as these things can happen on any ship.
