TM&K Posted April 29, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 29, 2008 We are going on our first cruise 5/19 aboard the Inspiration out of Tampa, and after reading some of the threads on cruise critic, I called the bon voyage customer service and had a bottle of Grey Goose sent to my room. My question is, am I allowed to carry on limes and tonic water on the ship? Any info would be appreciated.
Nuttycruisegirl Posted April 29, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 29, 2008 We always carry on our tonic in our checked luggage....And I always just get limes from the bartenders daily and keep them in a little bowl in the fridge. Never had a problem! Have fun!
cathyz Posted April 29, 2008 #3 Share Posted April 29, 2008 You can also just buy a few cans of tonic from any bartender, that's what we do.

richkinkade Posted April 29, 2008 #6 Share Posted April 29, 2008 You can carry limes on, but not off. There are no citrus trees on cruise ships to infest with pests. I've brought limes and tonic water on board many times.
tinkerbell_82 Posted April 29, 2008 #7 Share Posted April 29, 2008 Maybe you can bring a bottle of lime juice? Or, there is a product called True Lime, which is 100% crystalized lime in a packet. Its tasty and portable. http://www.truelemon.com/purchaseonline.html

winddawn Posted April 29, 2008 #9 Share Posted April 29, 2008 We usually carry one of the plastic squirt bottles of lime juice (found in the produce section at the grocery store) on our cruise to use for Corona's in our cabin or on our balcony. You might want to tuck one in your suitcase in a waterproof bag.

TM&K Posted April 30, 2008 Author #14 Share Posted April 30, 2008 Thanks for the info. I'll just get them from the bar, so I don't have to worry about carrying them on & pack the tonic water. Nice to know I can buy it, if I run out though.
