JHCB Posted May 9, 2008 #1 Share Posted May 9, 2008 How does the size of the hump cabin balconies on Mariner compare with the regular superior balcony stateroom? --Thanks
mpbmark Posted May 9, 2008 #2 Share Posted May 9, 2008 Pretty much the same but since they stick out, the view is better from the middle of the hump. Obviously the view changes depending whether you are forward (can't see aft) or on the back side of the hump (can't see forward). Personally, I like the cabin location, as centered on the ship, and, no, I did not notice any appreciable increase in the noise level being close to the elevators (which seems to be a concern for some people). Of course, your tolerance for noise may differ.
cruising forever Posted May 9, 2008 #3 Share Posted May 9, 2008 We'll know when we get back from our November cruise on the Mariner! Can't wait :)
cb at sea Posted May 9, 2008 #4 Share Posted May 9, 2008 On the Voyager class ships, the side balconies (including humps) are all the same depth in any given catagory. The humps are not larger than any other. Only the "afts" are deeper.
marcyjane Posted May 10, 2008 #5 Share Posted May 10, 2008 We had next to center hump in 2005 on Mariner deck 8 and loved it. This year sailing June 8th we have center hump and next to center hump on deck 6 hope we like them as well. Very handy cabins. Marcy
