charlielinda Posted October 8, 2004 #1 Share Posted October 8, 2004 My husband wants him to take his blackberry on our cruise. I don't think it will work on a cruise -- will it?:)
TEXASMUNK Posted October 8, 2004 #2 Share Posted October 8, 2004 It will work just fine, as long as he brings along those towers that transmit the signals to his blackberry...opps, there are none of them out at sea. Depending on his provider's service in each port you visit, he may or may not be able to obtain a signal.....But the charges will be dramatically higher than any simple roaming charge he may incur in the US
charlielinda Posted October 8, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted October 8, 2004 Thanks for your answer -- I don't want to lug along those towers so just maybe he'll be out of touch for awhile!:D

charlielinda Posted October 8, 2004 Author #6 Share Posted October 8, 2004 Has anyone received an e-mail with this service. As I understand it a light will blink on the phone that you have an e-mail. O.k. I understand that but now what . . . where do you go to receive the message? The Internet Cafe? What are the hours of the Internet Cafe? Any information would be helpful. Thank you.:)
dublin Posted October 8, 2004 #7 Share Posted October 8, 2004 Basketlady, Love those baskets. Online@celebrity - my friends used it last time we cruised to keep track of children at home. Came in handy for them to have peace of mind when leaving older teenagers along.
charlielinda Posted October 8, 2004 Author #8 Share Posted October 8, 2004 Thanks -- so folks send you an e-mail; your phone blinks to tell you have an e-mail; you go to internet cafe and pick up e-mail (I'm assuming someone there can tell you how). Thanks. :)
