lifeboat drill

Recommended Posts

is there a new procedure for the lifeboat drill on the mariner?usually you would just grab your lifejacket and proceed to your muster station,then you would listen to brief instructions and go back to your cabin.is this still how it works?

That's how it was over New Years this year.

That's the way it has worked on any ship that I have been on.

<param name="year" value=2004>
<param name="month" value=03>
<param name="day" value=19>
<param name="hour" value=17>
</applet>

Drills come in two varieties:
1. You take life jacket, put it on and go to muster station that is next to your lifeboat, wait for your cabin to be called, listen to short message from captain, return to cabin.

2. You take your life jacket to some massive muster station, such as a show room and sit and wait for announcements, then you are told to put on your life jacket and then you are dismissed.

I actually prefer number 1 because you at least get to be outside.
