Hotel near Port Liberty, New Jersey?

Basically, there are no hotels in Bayonne, so everyone is looking at Newark airport or Jersey City. Look at the thread "Anyone know a nice hotel in Bayone" plus the Newark hotel threads.

It depends - some folks want to visit NY, other folks want to just stay overnight. Some folks are driving, others are arriving by plane.

here are a few options.......

Courtyard Newark/Elizabeth, Residence Inn Newark/Elizabeth, Country nn & suites....all are next to each other, off exit 13A of the NJ Turnpike. And they are near Jersey Gardens Mall

other decent places are:

newark airport marriott, renaissance newark airport, hampton inn, courtyard neark (different from the one above) and springhill suites.

I see this is back in May but will answer it today at the end of July. Mid July we stayed in Country Inn and Suites. All the motels are within walking distance of each other and all are within walking distance of the mall. Country Inn will shuttle you over if you don't want to walk but then you must call to get picked back up. I am a 54 year old, not in the best of shape woman and we had no problem walking over there or back on an extremely hot and humid day. Ruby Tuesdays and a diner are also kind of on the same grounds as all the motels also as far as having someplace to grab something to eat without using your car or a cab to go elsewhere since Country Inn has no restaurant but does provide continental breakfast for guests.
