RCL+Immersion+Euros on board????????

Recommended Posts

I just called Royal Caribbean about this question on our 14 night Italian Mediterranean Cruise on the Independence. They said anything charged on our seapass would be in US dollars.

I'm also interested in finding out for sure as I've had mixed answers. Some representatives said Euros others said US currency. Would like to find out which as we plan to cancel if it's Euros.

Anyone know for sure?

Another thread stated euros would be required so I guess it's who you talk to at RCL whatta surprise :D If it is Euros I'm sorry to say i won't be tipping. I refuse to convert my money and loose both on the transfer fee and the transfer rate. RCL has to think of all the ramifications of their "immersion" cruises and this might be one area they overlooked.

For a couple of years, when RCCL operated the Legend OTS out of S'ampton, the GB pound was the currency used on board. If it is British immersion, why would they use Euro when GB does not? Another area that RCCL needs to clarify immediately considering the beating the US$ takes against either the Euro or Pound sterling:(

... at the RCCL exchange rate (or ... a bad exchange rate) if prices are converted to euros or pounds.
