VA 6162 On Noordam AFT Anyone been in it

Hi Deluxerider,

We have this cabin booked for March '09 and wondered the same things. I called HAL and was told the cabin is 194 sp ft (side balconies are 174 sq ft) and balcony is 130 sq ft vs 75 sq ft on side rooms. I don't think we will notice 20 sq ft in the room and I will be really surprised and delighted if the balcony is as big as they say as I have looked at the plans and pics of the aft and it doesn't look that big and the room looks smaller than the side rooms. We still want to try the aft as we have read it is really neat to hear and see the wake. Here is a photo of the back were you can see the balcony.

Hope you have a great cruise. ;)

Thanks for responding to my question. I realize there's a handicap room beside VA 6162 and wonder if that takes any footage away from the cabin or balcony? Also, we're going to the carribean and it concerns me as to how warm it will be at the Aft. Does anyone have any past experience regarding this?

I was in the aft cabin below that for my Noordam cruise this February, and in fact, the picture posted here is one I took. I know it's mine because of the person standing at the rail and the one sitting above him. Your cabin should be the one directly above the man who is standing. It was our first time on the aft and I loved the cabin. I've been in a side balcony cabin on the Noordam too, and frankly, I didn't really notice any difference in the size of the cabin except that this one was fine. Maybe I was too excited to pay any attention to the size difference. Love that Noordam!

It looks like by your picture that the cabins above VA6162 can see some of the verandah but not all. I sure hope we'll be happy. We're going to be celebrating our 25th Anniversary and want it to be special!! :)
