Shore Excursion Tipping

I don't tip 15%. I usually tip a dollar or two to the driver, and if there is a guide a dollar or two to them. Sometimes there is a bucket and a sign saying they share tips, I'll put in a $5. But I usually only book tours that are under $50 and last maybe 2-3 hours. I don't pay $200 (or more) to land on glaciers or flightseeing tours or whalewatching tours.

I believe on our HAL cruisetour the documents gave the amounts of $2 for the driver and $4.00 for the Tour Director, and they were with us all day every day for the 8 days of the tour, and do a lot more than just a short tour driver/guide.

Tipping is totally up to the individual, if you were thrilled and want to leave more, do so.
