celebrity with kids

Im posting this here as well as on the =X= board since I hoped maybe I'd find someone with first hand family cruising experience. We are booked on Solstice in Aug 2009. will have our 12 yr old son with us. I am trying to find out what bars/lounges we would not have access to with a youngster. I understand he cant go into the casino, but are there likely to be any other restrictions. I know Solstice is new so there wont be anyone out there that can tell me about this ship specifically, but what are the rules generally with Celebrity?

My Niece went on the Zenith twice with her daughter who was 7 the first time, and eight months later, almist eight. The first cruise was over New Years, five days, and she took a while to feel like she wanted to try the kids programs, but when she did, she loved them. The second time she went every day (it was the 7 day Bermuda cruise). I don't believe there were any areas that she couldn't go (although she couldn't always participate...). She is a very active child, and her mom found a bar aft that was usually not utilized during the day, and she could twirl around on the dance floor as much as she wanted. (It was also a place her Mom could smoke). Grammy (my sister) was along on both cruises, and I was on the second. EM

Don't worry you can go anywhere you want on the ship with kids- except the casino, the spa and perhaps one pool.

We just got off the Galaxy TA with our 8 yr old DS. During the day, he was able to go pretty much everywhere. The casino, thallosotherapy pool and gym were off limits, with varying age limits - under 16 for the spa and gym, I think, and the clubs were after 11:00 PM, but otherwise he was fine.
