pachecos Posted October 10, 2004 #1 Share Posted October 10, 2004 Couple of random questions: Are the menus for the entire voyage readily available at the pursur's desk in order to pick "good" evenings to do the alternative dining venues? Are towels provided near the pool or does one have to take the towels from the room? What is the current pricing for using the spa pools/sauna,etc. per day or per voyage? What is the average price for 50 minute massages? Is the Chef's Galley menu the same each evening? At Chef's Galley if you don't drink wine will they provide soft drinks? Besides iced tea what other included beverages are offered? Any always available menu items available in Brittania restaurant? If there is nothing on the menu you like will they make or alter meals? What are the denominations of the slots in the Casino? THANKS!!!!
cruise44 Posted October 11, 2004 #2 Share Posted October 11, 2004 I am able to answer some of your questions: Are towels provided near the pool or does one have to take the towels from the room? -The green Cunard towels are provided by your room steward, and you have to take them to the pool with you and take them back to the room with you too. There are no bins near the pools to get rid of towels or to get new ones. What is the current pricing for using the spa pools/sauna,etc. per day or per voyage? -The price for the Canyon ranch pool begins at around $19.00 a day, and then was sold in packages for longer periods of time, some which would cover the whole voyage. Is the Chef's Galley menu the same each evening? -The Chef's galley menu is the same every night along with the rest of the Kings Court restaurants. Besides iced tea what other included beverages are offered? -The Kings Court and Boardwalk cafe has lemonade, cranberry, apple, and orange juice. Hot chocolate(which becomes very popular) and coffee are also offered. Any always available menu items available in Brittania restaurant? If there is nothing on the menu you like will they make or alter meals? -Unfortunately Cunard has yet to offer this, unlike P&O and other lines. Asking for something else totally depends on the waiter you have. Most will say they are unable to prepare something else because everything is pre-prepared. There are no bins near the pools to get rid of towels or to get new ones. While slightly inconvenient, I like this because it will tend to diminish the quantity of pool chair hoggers. Your green pool towels should be in the cabinet under the sink in your cabin's bathroom. If not, you can ask your room steward(ess) for some. My tablemate was able to get a steak one night and salmon another night when she did not find anything on the menu to her liking. This could possibly depend on your waiter, but I got the impression it was pretty common practice on the QM2. I guess it never hurts to ask... mark_and_debbie Posted November 1, 2004 #6 Share Posted November 1, 2004 Green Towels - On our (mediterranean) cruise, additional towels were available next to the terrace bar on the aft pool deck (Deck 8).
