Atlantis Resort, Bahamas

There aren't many other options. You can book thru the cruiselines or you can buy a day pass when you get to Atlantis. Keep in mind they are based on availability and many days no passes are available to the public so you may get there only to find you can't get in.

We are going next year and we will be booking 2 rooms, still cheaper than going thru the cruiselines.

we also got a room at the comfort suites. . turned out to be around $80 a person as there were 4 of us. cheaper than going through the ship or getting day passes from the casino.. those are about your only options unless you just want to go and walk around. If you have questions you can also check out the Bahamas board.

I called Atlantis and they offer day passes for 105 for adults and 75 for kids...

Comfort Suites has a two day minumum, and that came to well over 200+ dollars and on the Carnival site the full roam of Atlantis is 152 per person.

Not too sure if all this money is worth it, perhaps a more scenic tour and view of the island would be better instead. Although the water slides look great!

Wow, I will have to call them back then...they told me 2 night minimum when I called this morning. May I ask the rate you were booked at?

Thanks!

dont call... go to their website.....it can be done ! Our rate was ridiculously high for 4 guests, but cheaper than a day pass !

You may be able to purchase a one day pass from Atlantis. I do not know how much it goes for, however I am sure it will be cheaper than renting a room.:)

On the Comfort Suites web site there are rooms for a price that is way way lower than the price of 2 days passes, plus Comfort Suites gives you access to Atlantis. So all I have to pay is $175 and that gets me a room for the day and 2 passes to Atlantis...Atlantis charges $105 for one adult.

Just not too sure if I want to spend the money on it. Has anyone ever experienced the Atlantis park in its entirety, slides and all?

The Atlantis is HUGE....been there several times.... the aquarium is awesome (you have access to it.....and having the use of the room at comfort suites is a nice perk too)..... Be prepared for a FULL DAY.... you also have charge privilages that will be billed to your hotel room that you may or may not choose to do while at the Atlantis. Also remember that there are additional fees at Confort Suites, i.e. maid services, and another I cant recall, but still you will be just fina and will have a good time I assure you !

We booked a room over spring break for one night at the comfort suites website, cost us a nice bit of money, probably 250, but for the 4 of us it was worth it. We really had a very nice time there and you must check out the lazy river, its a fun time and not so lazy, more like rapids in some areas. I would go again!

We booked at the Comfort Suites last September on our Disney cruise. We loved it, as did the 2 15 year old girls with us. We ended up paying about $175 for the room after the additional housekeeping charges. We spent all day in the pools. especially the lazy river--which as the PP said, isn't so lazy--it was awesome.

Look for the family hamburger deal. For $25, you get four good sized hamburgers with Lettuce and tomato, two large servings of fries, and 4 sodas--excellent value compared to the other food costs there.

How about if we just want to visit the casino, we will only be there a short time. Is there a cost to enter, I realize we may need to cap there. I wonder how close the dolphin swim is to the casino, as two of us wanted to do that also. All info would be great, Thanks, Lynn

There's no cost to enter the casino. I don't know whether it is close to the dolphin swim or not.

If you don't want to swim it is only $25 (and they usually have discount coupons on the hotel brochures) to go through "The Dig" which is what they call the aquarium.

We also walked across the bridge from the Nassau side and we could see the cruise ship docks from there.

Do I have this correct...by simply booking a room at the Comfort Inn, my friend and I automatically have a pass to Atlantis? No additional cost for a day pass? (I understand food and drinks are additional.)

Hi. We have been to the Atlantis twice. The first time we had a room. The beach, pools and water slides are awesome, especially if you have kids. The second time we were on a cruise and took a taxi to Atlantis. We were allowed to walk around a small part of the aquarium and throughout the hotel for free. They also have shops similar to Disney that you can 'visit' . Turn right when you got into the spectacular lobby and turn right at the ice sculpture. Have fun!

When I called the Comfort Suites, they were not much help at all. We are going to be there on Sunday, June 8th. Do I book the room for Saturday night or Sunday night. There website says that checkin isn't until 3:00 p.m. If I show up that morning, are they going to give me the passes for Atlantis?

Book for the day you arriving (June 8th) for one night (June 9th "Departure").

You can check in early and head over to Atlantis for your wristbands (you need to show the card the Comfort Suite gives you for each person (up to four).

Book directly on the Comfort Suites corporate website - do not call the Paradise Island Comfort Suite directly as they will tell you two night minimum. There is a link either earlier in this thread, or one of the other Atlantis threads to book with a 20% discount.

My family and I are doing this when we visit on 8/29. Be sure to read the other Atlantis threads.. lots of good info.
