Onboard coupon savings book

Recommended Posts

Yes, I think it's quite useless. I would wait for onboard credit or free gift card with purchase type promotions then this. It's mostly buy one get one free/10%off type stuff and it's mostly for the +21 crowd who love to drink and gamble (free $5 chip.)

If the coupon book is free you have, in my IMMHO, things in it that would be worth it. Just the idea that you get to go to JR's for free is worth it, at least to me since I love Johnny Rockets. And if you are planning on buying at least one ship board photo it is nice to know you can buy one and get one for free to give to your traveling buddy. I go to the casino at least twice on every cruise so if I can get, even a couple of dollars worth of free casino chips, why not. That 2.00 chip might be the one that helps me win a jackpot, no matter how small that jackpot will be.

Has anyone recieved one of these with their cruise purchase? What kind of savings do they offer in it? Just wondered if this is useful or just a worthless marketing tool.

RCI has the best coupon books if you're a Diamond member - there's usually a free photo, drink, maybe a bingo coupon, etc. along with other discounts. Just received a totally useless one from Carnival and will probably get another one once we board! LOL

We received two on the last RCI cruise. We used the JR coupon and the free entry to the wine tasting. Everything else we filed in the circular file. Since it was free, we did not loose anything but did get some value out of it. We will use it again on our next RCI cruises.
