what to do in Anchorage

Because some members of our group have an earlier flight, we have arranged for transfer from Seward to Anchorage airport. The rest of us don't leave for another 7 hours. We thought since we'd be at the airport, we can check in and leave our luggage there, then find something to do and eat before boarding our flight at 9 pm.

Airlines still have only, the prior, 4 hour bag check rule that I know of. Pay storage at Anchorage airport is available.

I'd strongly suggest renting a car for the day. We saw sooo much in our 9 hour wait including the Native Heritage Center, Earthquake Park, etc. Sure did beat sitting in the airport all day. (This probably won't cost you much more than what they charge to store your bags for the day!)
