Folgy, poor Notail had to go with what our company left. She doesn't have her ID yet

I dont think our boys drink they just pout. we dont leave until may 1 on the grandure but they have already seen the suitcases and are getting hostile. They luv their aunt mel but they are already avoiding her to show their displeasure because she only stops by 3 or 4 times a week to party with them while were gone.

too cute. I love cats but am too allergic. Tried to have one a few years ago but ended up having to take too many pills to be at home
Found him a good home, though. I have to enjoy my Mother's and sisters-in-laws' cats when I can. I'm ok for a few hours..oh well.

thanks for posting the picture.

Sophie, So could Notail be drinking in celebration? Perhaps Notail and Boobka have had "catjugal" relations.
Kitty congrats to you!

I would love ,love to have a Savannah Cat . Please let me know more details when you get the extra large kittie

Aren't they incredible??? I fell in love at first sight when I saw them on the internet

Not sure when we will be getting one. I want an F1 or F2... but they cost more than any cruise we have ever done Most litters born at the moment are all sold. So, I will be patient and see what happens. Dave has a lot of extra work right now, so hopefully within the next year I can get a new "baby". I looked the the registered Savannahs....under 300 registered in the US. Not a common cat...but well worth the wait from what I have read! I will be sure to let you know all about the kitten when we get one. I did find a 1 1/2 year old male for $1500...but due to the size of the breed, I need a kitten to be sure my cats get along with the new kittie. Good things come to those who wait right? LOL

Well, we did book another cruise today...The Voyager on May 16.....We didn't plan on cruising again this soon, but the "Happy Hour" special today had a 5 nt. for $349 for an atrium room. Hard to pass that up!

I'll keep in touch about the Savannah!

Not sure what they do after we leave, but before we leave I'm sure they really rub it in to the dogs that they (the cats) get to stay home and the dogs have to go to the kennel.

my cats are so mean.

Just got home from work, checked on the new kittens and mama. She had four, all different. One solid gold, one black with a little white underneath, one beautiful cream color, and one white with several black spots and a black tail! My DH said the whole neighborhood must have been in on this one!! Mom is fine. She's a pro. I sure wish I could smooch those little kittens. I bet they are just adorable.

Bobbie, reSavannah Cat)

I know they are hard to get . I also read that they get along very well with smaller puddie tats.

I love hearing pet stories! I bet those new kittens are precious. I've been wanting another kitten, but I think my Manx would be too jealous. Notail thinks she's one of us. She is such a funny cat- she acts like a dog, a monkey, and a rabbit (she even hops like a rabbit because of her Manx legs).
It's sad that I've driven my kitty to drinking

The Savannah Cat

The Savannah cat is still a young breed, which has been created by crosses with the African serval. During the early 1980's, cat breeder Judee Frank successfully bred a male serval to a female Siamese barn cat. Ten years later the first Standard was written and presented to TICA and the breed gained "Experimental" status. Now, in 2003, the Savannah cat is in the "Evaluation" phase of its journey to full competition in The International Cat Association.
The name Savannah refers to the African Savannah, the habitat of one of the breed's ancestor's the African serval cat. The Serval has been kept as a pet by natives to Africa for thousands of years but is not a suitable pet for the average house hold. The Savannah is however and still has many of the Serval's beautiful qualities but with a more amiable temperament and better house hold habits. The Savannah breed is still very rare and has been improved by crossing with spotted domestic shorthairs. Since the Savannah cat has been accepted by TICA it can be registered in the breed section Savannah (SV). TICA allows third generation Savannahs into cat shows for evaluation by judges.

The Savannah is a tall lean cat with long legs and a long neck. The head is smaller in proportion to the body and longer than wide with large ears. Similar to the serval, the coat shows a spotted pattern with some bars on a golden to tawny ground color with a light colored underside. Savannah cats appear to be smaller replica

I don't think my "girls" Lucy, Lilly and Maggie get too crazy when DH and I travel becasue our sons are home. However, I always see a bit of sadness in their eyes when we leave with our suitcases. Although everyone loves them, no one treats them like their "mommy!"
