We're starting to think about our packing lists and would like to know 2 things. When are the formal nights on the Radiance southbound cruises and are there only Formal nights and Casual nights?

Thanks

On the 7-day cruises, there are 2 formal nights, usually on your "at sea" days.

There are 4 "casual" nights and one "smart casual" night. Not sure where those fall tho.

If you go to the RRCL website and check the "onboard experience" link, you'll find more info on suggested dress. Note the use of "suggested" :)

Dress Suggestion

During the day, casual clothes are fine for the main dining room. There are three distinct types of evenings onboard: casual, smart casual and formal. Suggested guidelines for these nights are:

Casual: Sport shirts and slacks for men, sundresses or pants for women

Smart Casual: Jackets and ties for men, dresses or pantsuits for women

Formal: Suits and ties or tuxedos for men, cocktail dresses for women

The number of smart casual and formal nights is at the ship's discretion.

7-Night

Casual - 4

Smart Casual - 1

Formal - 2

I have been on enough cruises to know what is meant by "suggested". Many of the Caribbean cruises have 2 formal nights and the rest are casual - smart casual seems to have been left out. Someone posted on another thread that the formal nights are the 2nd and 5th night, which is one sea day and one short day in port. With all the bulky clothing needed for this cruise, I think the casual nights will be very casual!
