sailnsee Posted June 3, 2008 #1 Share Posted June 3, 2008 Has anyone brought wine on board to be used at dinner-what was the corkage charge and how did you go about bringing the wine on board and giving it to the dining room staff? Thanks from a wine drinker -but not at 75% markup(O:
cb at sea Posted June 3, 2008 #2 Share Posted June 3, 2008 I don't believe you're allowed to bring your own wine onboard anymore. So therefore, no "corkage" charge!
gerif Posted June 3, 2008 #3 Share Posted June 3, 2008 I don't believe you're allowed to bring your own wine onboard anymore. So therefore, no "corkage" charge! Precisely - no more bringing your own wine onboard.
Gonzo70 Posted June 3, 2008 #4 Share Posted June 3, 2008 Holland America and Celebrity both allow two bottles of wine per stateroom. I believe the corkage is $15 on Holland and $25 on Celebrity. With Royal Caribbean you are not permitted to bring wine onboard.
Britnatize Posted June 3, 2008 #5 Share Posted June 3, 2008 If you get a free wine as a booking incentive through travel agent, do you have to pay a corking fee for that if you want to enjoy it in your stateroom?
Gonzo70 Posted June 3, 2008 #6 Share Posted June 3, 2008 If you get a free wine as a booking incentive through travel agent, do you have to pay a corking fee for that if you want to enjoy it in your stateroom? I believe that the only way you could receive one through a TA is if they purchased the bottle from the ship in which case there would be no corkage fee.
