Yes, it will work if you activate Idial on your phone. You then have to program your phone using *228. It was easy and free. Here is a link to Verizon's international rates. http://b2b.vzw.com/international/outside_us.html

 

Typically, I go to www.cellularatsea.com to get cellular information but for some reason the Verizon link isn't working right now.

 

If you use your phone on the ship, it is $2.49/minute using the ships cell tower. Rates in port vary. I did notice on the Verizon site though that the international rates are increasing June 30th.
