Dry Dock

Have booked an Alaska Cruise for May 2009 on the Golden. I have read that she will be in dry dock in April. How long does this last?

It looks like about 2 weeks and a few days. The Golden gets back to Los Angeles on April 15 and then reappears on May 5 in Vancouver. No telling where the dry dock will take place on the West Coast. 2 weeks is a long time! You'll have a brand new ship when it's over! ;)

What's the scoop on the Grand Princess this December? Many have noticed the gap between the Grand's Dec. 19 cruise and the preceding cruise. Anyone know what to expect in terms of "sprucing up" for those of us booked on the Dec. 19 sailing?
