STEVE-O Posted April 6, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 6, 2004 I got a call from a time share in Grand Cayman stating I'd won a vacation ( well, 85% discount on a vacation) at a time share. Seems I "entered" when I completed the order form on EOS for the buyer's coupon guide. Anyone else win, too???? I'd be interested in hearing your story. superjerryw Posted April 6, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 6, 2004 I'm sure the free vacation includes a several hour long high pressure sales pitch. <applet code="countdown.class" CODEBASE="http://*************/java-sys" width="203" height="25"> <param name="font" value="lcdb0"> <param name="year" value=2004> <param name="month" value=03> <param name="day" value=19> <param name="hour" value=17> </applet> Donuts, is there anything they can't do.... STEVE-O Posted April 7, 2004 Author #5 Share Posted April 7, 2004 The "Prize" did not include air fare. I was told that , even though this is a time share, we had won a vacation, not a sales pitch. He was nice enough to mention we'd be invited to a sales pitch ( if we wanted to go ) but it wasn't mandatory. The place looks great on the website...good reviews. As for sending them money..... My mother worked for the Better Business Bureau for many years...and I work with fraud every day on my job ( Banking )..so it would take some kind of complex scam to separate me from my hardly earned money.... I'd love to have a former ( or current ) "winner" respond..... Steve
Alexis Posted April 7, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 7, 2004 Hi, Glad to read that. In that case, go and have a ball at their expense. I have to add, our "free" cruise that we won years ago, cost us a small fortune. But we also won one 5 years ago that was really free, so it isn't always bad.
