CB Princess Caribe Deck question?

This will be our first cruise on the Caribbean Princess and booked a balcony cabin on the Caribe Deck 602. This was as close to mid-ship as we could get. Has anyone stayed in this particular cabin or in that vacinity and able to give me some information. Is this a pretty good cabin and location? Thanks.

I think you are in a great location. I feel that Caribe is the best deck as you have the biggest balconies for a standard cabin and they are half covered/half uncovered.

Your specific cabin is directly in the middle of two stair cases. So while you have a little bit of walk to the stairs/elevator (and it's really not that bad), you also have the option of turning right out your door and head to the aft elevator/stairs (traditional dinning/buffet/aft pool). And if you turn left out your door you can head to midship elevator/stairs (atrium, anytime dinning, main pools).

You're also far enough away from either staircase to avoid the noise that sometimes is heard late at night. It woke us up a couple of times last August when we were in C709...

You'll love the huge balcony! Best of both worlds being half covered. You'll feel like you're on a private yacht!

We'll miss Caribe deck in our oceanview on Plaza this August.:(

We had cabin C608 May of 2007. The location was great and we loved the larger balcony. Cabin was fine also. You will have a direct view of the balcony below you and the uncovered portion of your balcony will be viewable from the balcony above you. We never had a problem with this. I think you will really enjoy your cabin.

Hi,

We were on the May 26th cruise in C605 slightly farther aft and yes, can confirm everything previously mentioned. If we had our choice again, we would try for an even numbered room putting us on the port side giving slightly better views when in ports, but that can vary also. Really enjoyed the spacious balcony, and because it's large, you will have some additional shade at times from the overhang. Plenty of sun except when traveling north/south you only get a half day of it. Also, could walk up 5 flights in morning for coffee/breakfast buffet, down 3 or 4 for promenade deck and theater. Great location.
