Activities on the STAR, Can't anyone remember anything?

I have been reading several reviews about the Star recently.

As always one person says there is nothing to do that isn't an extra charge. Another person is amazed at all the many types of activities that were being announced but can only seem to remember the casino.

We will be taking the Star to Alaska next month; DH, 2 grown sons , and myself. Can anyone tell me what to expect?

If you have sailed on the star this year, and you can remember 1 or 2 activities, please respond. maybe we can get a list going. PLEASE

Activities from my Feb. 2008 cruise on the Star- Art seminars, trivia, health seminars, line dancing, water volleyball, towel folding lessons, talent show, couples massage lessons, shopping talk, ships tours, free liquor tasting, karaoke, gaming lessons, yoga, scavenger hunt, sushi demonstration, arts and crafts, .all were free... Plus much more..... Hope this helps

Also Murder Mystery Dinner, swimming (hot tub specifically for the Alaskan cruise), shuffel board, darts, cards (they have a room near the theater just for card playing with huge windows so you can see the scenery as you play cards). giant chess, Wii, and honestly stuff going all the time. I wish I was able to help you more, but unfortuantely we are casino people and thats all we looked for in the freestyle daily is casino hours.

And let's not forget Quest and the Not-So-Newlywed Game. Godknows, I've tried....

Janet (who keeps searching YouTube, praying that her---ahem---small lapses in judgement never, ever show up....)

From our cruise on the Star to Mexico last year, I remember the Chinese Acrobats. The unusual musical trio (they were great). The piano player/singer. Free Sushi making class (I don't even eat it and I loved the demonstration). Ping Pong, Golf net (you hit balls into it), giant Chess board with giant chess pieces out on deck, line dance lessons. There's lots to do. Some people are just so jaded!!!! We had a blast on our cruise!!!:D
