Fuel surcharge removed

Hi, all! I just made final payment on our Alaska cruise in Aug/Sep, and the fuel surcharge was removed. It had been included as part of the balance due, but because we booked so long ago (before there was a surcharge), they took it away. :D :D

We also had got back the money for our March cruises on our credit card. And while we were on the Westerdam, we got those fuel surcharges back as cruise shipboard credit.

 

An our TA sent us a letter while we were away indicating that the fuel surcharges for our fall cruises have been removed.

 

But keep in mind, any cruises that you book after June 12 there will be a fuel surcharge of $9 per person per day - limit of $126 for the longer cruises.

We also had fuel surcharge removed for cruises we booked before it was instituted. Paid off booking early! :)

Getting an extra ship-board credit for the surcharge was nice, but somehow we still had a bill at the end of the cruise . . . :D
