manlie Posted June 20, 2008 #1 Share Posted June 20, 2008 We are normally Princess cruisers, but have been looking at the Solstice due to its itinerary. One of the tings I love about Princess is the large uncovered balconies (I need all the sun and heat I can get!) and was wondering if there are any uncovered balconies on Celebrity, in particular the Solstice. I have tried to search cruise critic but haven't had much luck. I know it is a new ship so there may not be a definitive answer, but I assume seasoned Celebrity cruisers would have an educated guess, at the very least :) Thanks! chessbriar Posted June 20, 2008 #2 Share Posted June 20, 2008 Your best bet would be to grab one of the aft cabins to maximize sun exposure.

Since they are not finished with the building of the Solstice, no one can answer for sure. We will know more after Nov 23 when the first sailing is. You can see pictures of the Solstice under construction at the Meyer-Werft website as well as several independent sources that are in other posts This picture site was posted on the board a while ago there are two sets of pictures one from May and one from Dec.: http://www.depping-design.de/test/ Other postings on the board: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=781547&highlight=solstice+pictures http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=795830 http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=781108&highlight=solstice+pictures Meyer Werft website picture: http://www.meyerwerft.de/page.asp?lang=e&main=2&subs=0&did=
manlie Posted June 20, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted June 20, 2008 Thank you - I have put an aft on hold. It appears that all the other balconies are covered :(. It looks like it will be a gorgeous ship!
Longboysfan Posted June 23, 2008 #5 Share Posted June 23, 2008 It may help. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=774625 I would also think the Balconies on Solstice would be similar to thos on the Mille ships. The aft balconies there were great for the sun.
