Legend or Miracle?

I've not cruised on Carnival since 2001 but have hit about every other cruiseline. My fav is Celebrity, but it is just too expensive for next cruise. I have it narrowed down to Legend or Miracle on 7 or 8 day Western Caribbean. I'm looking for opinions as to which one everyone prefers. This would be late February 2009.

Thanks in advance! :p

I am a big Celebrity fan and you're right about the pricing.. its creeping up..I went on Miracle in May and loved it! I would compare it to a Celebrity Cruise.. food was great..service great..

I have not been on the legend... :)

We were on the Miracle in April for a family cruise. I wouldnt say the ship was my favorite but we enjoyed it and are easy to please so I didnt have any complaints. I think I just prefer the larger ships. But then again each size has its pros & cons. We will be on the Legend in 29 days so I will be able to compare the service on both & let you know which I preferred. To me, no cruise is a bad one.

They are both the exact same ship with different decors. Since service and food can change from week to week, or day to day you cant go wrong with either one but if I had to chose I would take the 8 day. The more days the better.

We are also Celebrity cruise fans. Had one cruise on legend a few years ago and really enjoyed it. We just booked the miracle in sept of 09. We just don't like to fly and we can drive to new york. Celebrity had nothing to offer us. I'm sure the miracle will be great.

I've cruised twice on the Legend and just got off the Miracle last month. BOTH are fantastic ships...just the right size. The layout is exactly the same. The Miracle is a little more over the top decor-wise, but really beautiful in my opinion. The Legend is a little more classic...alot of greco-roman decor...also very very pretty. The crews on both ships were wonderful. I was lucky in the casino on the Miracle and VERY lucky in the casino on the Legend, lol. Martinis were great on both! You really can't go wrong! :D

We were on the Miracle in March and it was fantastic!!! Would sail on her again in a heart beat! That said - they are both Spirit Class ships and are basically the same. We will be on the Legend in November and are really hoping that it will be a great as the Miracle.:D

Since the Miracle and the Legend are exactly the same ship with different decor, I would go for the longer cruise. Might as well get that extra day.

The Miracle is a great ship. We were on her at the beginning of June and had a wonderful time.

We have been on the Legend twice and the Miracle once. I think the Miracle edged out the Legend by a little for me. The first reason I actually liked the theme (famous fictional icons) and decor of the Miracle better than the Legends (legendary figures). Also the supper club with the windows in the in the funnel was really different. We had a great time on both but I would pick the Miracle.
