Flamingos in Progresso?

Recommended Posts

Has anyone done the Flamingo visit? I have read about it, but cannot find out much info. Just wondering if anyone can tell me if it is worth the visit, or not. There isn't much in Progresso, but it happens to be one of the stops. Thanks.

Nanny. Checkout http://www.yucatantoday.com and my pics in the thread

"Hi Guys", by Host Mach. It's in post #12. The Cathedral was built in 1561 and another bldg built in 1549. The ruins date back to the 5th and 6th century. Merida is only a 21 mile bus ride ($3.00 RT) from Progreso and well worth the trip. As I said before, there are many things to do when visiting Progreso for a day.

We did it a few years ago. The bus was air conditioned, the flamingo's were to far away to see without magnifying glasses. The ruins were smaller than my front room. You can pay a small fee and just get on the bus, after you get off the pier bus from the ship. Was something different to see.:)
