cruise critic meeting on royal caribbean vs norwegian

Last year my family and I sailed on the ncl star. The cruise critic meeting was attended by many passengers and crew members.We were asked my ncl to sign our name and cabin number to a signup sheet. Throughtout the cruise we were instructed to call if we needed reservations or personal attention. In addition snacks were sent daily to our cabin. The service was outstanding! Is this type of attention typical for all cruises regardless of the line or just typical for norwegian?

They don't do anything like that on RCCL. You have the Meet & Mingle party and that is about it. They serve some snacks at the party and they usually have a raffle for a few things, but that's all. No follow up during the cruise.

thanks for the info. We're going the rhapsody in aug. and have never sailed Royal Caribbean before.

It was my understanding that Royal Caribbean had exclusive rights to "cruise critic meetings"--even though all cruise lines participate in these forums...so I am a bit surprised to hear that NCL is having CC meetings

Anyone know for sure?
