terrierjohn Posted June 26, 2008 #1 Share Posted June 26, 2008 I found this site last week while Googling for the dimensions of the Emerald. This page lists cruise ships by length and reveals some quite interesting facts, not least that the Princess Grand class are quite a bit smaller (shorter and narrower) than most competitors. It's also interesting to see that the new Celebrity Solstice class should be much more spacious than Princess, especially as they will have fewer passengers than the newest Grands. http://members.aol.com/CruiseAZ/largest.htm

I just thank god that Princess doesn't have those larger ships. One interesting fact that I hadn't realized is that the Coral/Island Princess are longer than the Grand-class ships yet they have far fewer passengers. No wonder they appear more spacious.
