The only benefit I know is you won't be so depressed that last night on the ship going to bed......nothing like having a new cruised booked already. I know this is not what you wanted to hear but its true!

When I was on the Valor last year, the incentive was to make a deposit for any ship of choice and we'd receive a $150 OBC.

 

There was no way to book an actual cruise right on the ship, so the deposit was for any ship and we'd book once back home.

I have been on 11 cruise and are booked for number 12. There was only one cruise where Carnival had some savings if you booked while on the cruise. That was a few years back. Now a days, they are pushing the Carnival Charge card to book a cruise. I'll let you make up your own mind on that after you see the details.
