geologygeek Posted June 30, 2008 #1 Share Posted June 30, 2008 Hi there, just wondering if any one knows what time the terminal starts to accept baggage at Seward or if it is possible to leave luggage at the terminal and then trip off for the day - we'd be ideally looking to leave our bags at 8am - any ideas? Cheers.
Jemima Posted June 30, 2008 #2 Share Posted June 30, 2008 At 8:00 they'll be at the early part of disembark and starting some of the early tours and transfers. Disembarkation in Seward is a long process which starts before eight and continues until early afternoon. One or two of the cruisetour groups had a disembarkation time after lunch. I doubt if embarkation starts until late morning at the earliest. Also, the Steward terminal is not the best organized. The terminal luggage people managed to get some Veendam and Millineum luggage mixed up. Apparently that was straightened out before either ship sailed. Some passengers and some returning passengers (14 day/B2B people) were confused by the signs in the terminal. It was a little confusing as to where enroute vs. new passengers went and also confusing as to which way to go for which ship.
Krazy Kruizers Posted June 30, 2008 #3 Share Posted June 30, 2008 Even though the train and many of the buses leave by 7 AM, there is no place for you to leave your luggage. Then won;t accept anything until after 11 AM.
vbmom87 Posted July 1, 2008 #4 Share Posted July 1, 2008 We did expedited disembarkation, which means you take your own luggage off. We stored it with the company we were taking our boat tour with and picked it up later.
