jencredible Posted June 30, 2008 #1 Share Posted June 30, 2008 What it means when on Carnival's website it says "Booking on hold"? This is my first cruise, and it's all new to me! Thanks!
firefly333 Posted June 30, 2008 #2 Share Posted June 30, 2008 Sounds like you are part of a group and someone has not paid in full. If you arent part of a group, then your final payment hasnt been made to Carnival
magic&buddy Posted June 30, 2008 #3 Share Posted June 30, 2008 did you book thru a TA or a PVP?
GoinCruisin Posted June 30, 2008 #4 Share Posted June 30, 2008 Yup, if you are part of a group booking, it can take a while after final payment for that to disappear. If you aren't with a group, contact your TA or PVP and double check. have you recently made final payment?
dixieva Posted June 30, 2008 #5 Share Posted June 30, 2008 My reservation says that too! I booked with a TA but am not with a group that I know of anyway. My cruise is not until May of 09.
inanotherlife Posted June 30, 2008 #6 Share Posted June 30, 2008 I just had this happen last week. If you haven't paid in full yet it wills say this also. We have paid in full, but a member of our group hasn't and therefore the whole booking is on hold until they do so. :)
magic&buddy Posted June 30, 2008 #7 Share Posted June 30, 2008 I posted about this same thing a couple of weeks ago. I am booked thru a TA and from the moment I booked it said "booking on hold.....". I was surprised that it did not change once I was paid in full. I paid in full in early June and the message came off yesterday. I was not aware that when I booked thru the TA that I was part of a group booking but apparaently I am - the group is identified on my docs that I can now view/print. My TA told me it could be as late as 21 days pre-cruise befre I would see the docs so I am happy
Rockee4055 Posted July 1, 2008 #8 Share Posted July 1, 2008 My reservation says that too! I booked with a TA but am not with a group that I know of anyway. My cruise is not until May of 09. Your TA may have blocked a group of rooms and are selling the cabins as a group thing. This is how they get their perks....8 cabins and 1 goes free.
