maxxboy Posted July 1, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 1, 2008 Maybe it's too early to ask this, but when making reservations for our Eurodam cruise we told our TA we wanted late seating for dinner. She told us there was 8:00 dining in the upper dining room and 8:30 dining in the lower level of the dining room. We asked for 8:30 lower. She called back and said HAL told her the lower dining room was for anytime dining (as if there is no 8:30 seating). Can anyone confirm this? ilovhywd Posted July 1, 2008 #2 Share Posted July 1, 2008 We just received our documents today! According to Pages 7-8 of the ticket and contract booklet: Upper level dining room on Deck 3 is traditional fixed dining schedule: 5:45 is Early Seating 8:00 is Main Seating Lower level dining room on Deck 2 features open dining any time from 5:15 - 9:00. Reservations are optional. Passengers are asked NOT to switch between traditional dining and open dining during the cruise. The 8:00 and 8:30 seatings were in effect the last time we were on HAL which was before the open dining (As You Wish) was instituted. Hope this info is helpful! Big Al B. Posted July 1, 2008 #4 Share Posted July 1, 2008 One note, I believe that on our October Noordam cruise, you were allowed to switch from assigned to open dining, but had to do it early and could not then change back.
