poppyskim Posted July 1, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 1, 2008 Breathtaking view! As we sailed away from St Thomas last week on the Mariner we were eating up in the Windjammer. I can't say how beautiful all the twinkeling white lights on the island were!! As the next island is so close we sailed very slowly and the lights were visable for a while ( port side and rear) . We were also very impressed with the Windjammer at night, the dimmed the lights nad had tablecovers on the tables along with tea...........very relaxing after a long hot day. cruise4kicks Posted July 1, 2008 #2 Share Posted July 1, 2008 Agreed that Charlotte Amalie is a ~gorgeous~ port by night! The only time I saw it that way was when we left port one day, but had to return some time during the night for a medical emergency. I awoke and looked out when I felt the ship stop, and WHAT A SIGHT!!! And BTW, the view from the top of Paradise Point is another to-die-for experience. :D
NCTribeFan Posted July 1, 2008 #3 Share Posted July 1, 2008 We were there in December and didn't sail until 8 pm, so we had lots of time to sit on our balcony and watch the yachts going in and out of the harbor with their lights on.
fllady Posted July 1, 2008 #4 Share Posted July 1, 2008 I agree with you both, especially from the view point at the top of Paradise Point. I recommend taking the Tram, at least once to see the view. You will get some great pictures also.:)
