neya Posted July 2, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 2, 2008 Hello: We are sailing in September to the EC and I would like to know : -Are we going to be using a tender in any of the islands (San Juan, St. Thomas, St. Marteen). -Is it best to see the Ice Skating show later on in the week? - Which restaurants/coffee shops/ on promenade are included in the price ? Thanks! neya

Thanks! neya 1. You will not tender in any of the ports, you will dock. But in St. Maarten, if you want to get into town, Philipsburg, you might decide to take the water taxi over. It is a one time charge, well, you can get round trip or one way, and if you get round trip, you an use it all day. 2. The best day to see the ice show (Freedom-Ice.Com) is the day when there is no other show in the main theater, which is the San Juan Day, Day 3. There is only one showing that day, at 9:00, but of course, if you wouldn't want to see another show and they have an ice show that day, go ahead and see it that day. 3. Both Sorrentos and Cafe Promenade are free, but of course you would pay for extra drinks and coffees, like at Seattles Best. Also, Ben and Jerry's also has a charge. WM219 Posted July 2, 2008 #3 Share Posted July 2, 2008 Hi Neya, We were on Freedom in August. You'll love it! As for your questions: 1. You should dock at each of those ports. 2. We saw the second showing of the Ice Show, but only because we didn't get tickets in time for the first one. If you want to see it, send one person from your party down to get tickets (they're free, they just ticket the shows because of limited seating) as soon as they are available. 3. Sorrento's - Everything we ate was included. Drinks of course are extra. (Soft drinks are included with the soda plan) Cafe Promenade - Had to pay extra for specialty coffees. Bull& Bear and Vintages seemed to be primarily bars, but we never went inside. Ben & Jerry's had their own menu pricing. If you have any other questions, let me know!
