Mark O Posted July 10, 2008 #151 Share Posted July 10, 2008 Kim.....thanks for posting the beautiful pics of St John. After getting off the ship, did you have to take a cab to the ferry? If so, how much was it? How did you decide where on Trunk Bay to hang out? Was it crowded? How long did the trip back to the ship take? Did you do the marked snorkeling trail? What did you think of it? Maggie - How did a 19 year old girl like Trunk Bay? How did you spend your time there? Enjoy the evening!!

nlcentralchmps03 Posted July 10, 2008 #154 Share Posted July 10, 2008
Kim, I am so gald you went to St. John! I would like to know if you went to red hook, and then over or did you leave from Charlotte Amile? Where on St. John's is JJ's located. Thanks for all the info for St. John, we are planning on doing the same thing!! Denyse
I tried going to red hook but the taxi guy completely screwed us over and it would have cost us so much money to head over to St. Johns. When I went back 2 weeks later I just did the St. John's beach tour through the ship. To anyone thinking about this, I wouldn't really recommend this. We had an hour and 15 minutes to snorkel before we had to head back to the ship.

rorito Posted July 10, 2008 #156 Share Posted July 10, 2008 Take cab from Havensight to Red Hook $10 each + tip pp / each way Ferry at Red Hook to Cruz Bay $5pp / each way Cab to Trunk Bay $6pp+ tip / each way $4 park fee pp A day on St John's beatiful north shore....PRICELESS! We are renting a jeep at port and using the car ferry and saving $50 for 4 of us. I would not recommend this if you are not familiar with USVI and driving on the "left side of life"! Thanks for the pics kimq! I'm so ready to sail on MOS again and spend a day of bliss on St John, my favorite place ever! ps Cinnamon Bay is free, one stop further than Trunk Bay and not nearly as crowded.
