Single mom cruising with daughter

[can't wait cruiser]

My husband and I are cruising 4-25 with our 25 year old daughter and her 5 year old daughter.
The father is not part of any of our lives. Our daughter has complete custody of her. Will she be asked for a consent form at any point? like at check-in or coming back home? Does anyone have any knowledge on this? Thanks

If you email me I will send you a copy of the notorized letter I always have with me, that someone from this board was kind enough to email me several years ago. In my experience no one has so much as looked at it, but we always have it just in case.

I think it depends on the ports you are visiting. We did southern carib last year and ta said we didn't need anything. Divorced sister and 11 yr old daughter was with us. TA said our islands didn't require it so therefore cruiseline would not req As far as I know, no one ever questioned sister. I would ask your TA to be sure.

Most airlines will not let you on a plane w/o the notarized letter anymore. I'd check w/ your cruise line, your airline & your TA. If nothing else, have your daughter bring a copy of the custody award from the court.
