Grand Bahama Island, Nassau, Stirrup Cay?

Best secluded beach getways in Grand Bahama Island, Nassau, and Stirrup Cay? Looking for a relaxing time on a peaceful beach. One poster said that once you hit the beach on the Cay to turn right, go over bridge, and use that end of the beach...is that the best spot or should we venture out farther? What about at the other ports!

Also, should I bring my own snorkeling equip or rent?

Take your own if you're going to snorkel a lot. Rental is approx. $10 per person. If you don't want to take your fins, a mask will pack easily and you won't have to use a "public" one.:D

When we went to Great Stirrup Cay we went off to our left and walked to the other side of the island and we were the only one's over there. Very quite. No beach though just a small dock. But it was beautiful and quiet.
