Poker On The Mariner

I was looking at a tour on the boat (mariner of the seas) and saw poker. Has anybody been in the casino...if so, can u tell me about it? maybe some pictures too?

Do you know what they buy-in is for the tables, i hear it is very high

When I was there it was a $100 buy in and blinds were $2/5 It was on a computerized poker table. no cards, just your own video screen .. it was kinda neat.

Was just on the Mariner over the 4th of July and there was no live dealer tables for poker, only the one computer table.

 

Make sure if you are going to play you have at least 4 people at the table because the 10% rake is a little steap.

 

Other then that it was fun.

A question on onboard poker tournaments. I saw a Compass for AOS, which we are sailing on in late January. The tourney was for 6pm after the day in St. Maarten. Does anyone know how long the tourneys generally run? DH is a poker player (and I play from time to time, although much prefer blackjack and video poker) and when I mentioned this tourney to him he wondered how possible it'd be for us to make our 8:30pm dinner seating.

we on the Mariner in February this year, and they had a texas holdem tournment for the week, it was a $50 buy in and you played different days, and the winners from the days, played on the final day for a seat in there poker cruise on the Freedom Dec 14th. My husband won, we get a free cabin on the Freedon and he gets a seat on the cruise, they said possibly playing for $150,000, I think they have tournment each week from all their ships and the winners play off on Dec 14th.

Just off the mariner on Sunday - great time - husband won the poker tournament on Saturday - he split 1st and 2nd place with another guy!!!

So are all the tournaments done with the computerized tables... no real dealers? I must know, as I would love to get my husband a buy in.
