raffi92 Posted July 11, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 11, 2008 Does anyone have any recommendations on how to get from YVR to Ballantyne Pier? I tried researching some shuttle companies that provide this service but didn't find much. Is taking a taxi our best bet?
Tweedy Posted July 11, 2008 #2 Share Posted July 11, 2008 Yes, I would say taxi or limo from YVR is your best bet.
Putterdude Posted July 11, 2008 #3 Share Posted July 11, 2008 Regretably taxi is you only option from YVR to the Ballantyne pier as the Airprorter shuttle does not go to Ballantyne and because Ballantyne is in a working port area, there is no public transit. Plan that your cabfare will be about $40 and if you take a limo about $10 more.
citygirl Posted July 11, 2008 #4 Share Posted July 11, 2008 Putterdude, can you recommend a limo company, we need to get ballentyne to yvr fast and neither celebrity or continental airlines will confirm us direct, don't want to risk waiting for a cab and would cancel the limo with lots of notice if I get on ship and find we CAN do US Direct
Putterdude Posted July 12, 2008 #5 Share Posted July 12, 2008 Here is the limo company which is kind of the "offical limo company" of the airport. They will have a desk at Ballantyne but you should be able to make a reservation with them. http://www.limojetgold.com/
Sagawoman Posted August 25, 2011 #6 Share Posted August 25, 2011 What about taking the Canada Line from YVR to Canada Place and then a cab to Ballantyne? Wouldn't that save a little money and give a smooth ride in from the airport?
Backstage Traveler Posted August 26, 2011 #7 Share Posted August 26, 2011 We sailed the Infinity from Ballyntyne in 2007. We had a group of 7, so we had the concierge at the Fairmont Vancouver Airport arrange our transport. She got a minibus for us, I think the company was Vancouver Minibus. We had them pick us up too, which was great, since there was a huge lineup for taxis when we got off the ship, and our driver was right there in front, waiting for us. Canada Line to Waterfront ($8.75/ea), followed by a taxi to Ballantyne ($10), for two people you're looking at $27.50 vs a taxi straight there for about 35-
Putterdude Posted August 26, 2011 #9 Share Posted August 26, 2011 What about taking the Canada Line from YVR to Canada Place and then a cab to Ballantyne? Wouldn't that save a little money and give a smooth ride in from the airport? Yes, that would certainly be a cost effective option, however you will be schlepping your luggage from the YVR terminal to the YVR station and then again through Waterfront station out on to Cordova St. to catch a cab. So it comes down to cost vs convenience. As this is a very old thread, the current official limo company of YVR is now Aerocar and here is an updated link. http://www.yvr.ca/en/getting-to-from-yvr/hired-sedans-limousines.aspx
