YVR to Ballantyne Pier

Does anyone have any recommendations on how to get from YVR to Ballantyne Pier? I tried researching some shuttle companies that provide this service but didn't find much. Is taking a taxi our best bet?

Regretably taxi is you only option from YVR to the Ballantyne pier as the Airprorter shuttle does not go to Ballantyne and because Ballantyne is in a working port area, there is no public transit. Plan that your cabfare will be about $40 and if you take a limo about $10 more.

Putterdude, can you recommend a limo company, we need to get ballentyne to yvr fast and neither celebrity or continental airlines will confirm us direct, don't want to risk waiting for a cab and would cancel the limo with lots of notice if I get on ship and find we CAN do US Direct

We sailed the Infinity from Ballyntyne in 2007. We had a group of 7, so we had the concierge at the Fairmont Vancouver Airport arrange our transport. She got a minibus for us, I think the company was Vancouver Minibus. We had them pick us up too, which was great, since there was a huge lineup for taxis when we got off the ship, and our driver was right there in front, waiting for us.

What about taking the Canada Line from YVR to Canada Place and then a cab to Ballantyne? Wouldn't that save a little money and give a smooth ride in from the airport?

You could, but you start getting into the little to gain category. Canada Line to Waterfront ($8.75/ea), followed by a taxi to Ballantyne ($10), for two people you're looking at $27.50 vs a taxi straight there for about 35-40

Yes, that would certainly be a cost effective option, however you will be schlepping your luggage from the YVR terminal to the YVR station and then again through Waterfront station out on to Cordova St. to catch a cab. So it comes down to cost vs convenience.

As this is a very old thread, the current official limo company of YVR is now Aerocar and here is an updated link.
