The dreaded birth cert. questions....

Recommended Posts

:) My hubby and I have passports and I have sent for the girls. We are sailing on the Mariner next month with friends and they said that they were told that b/c are fine for their girls, who are 5 and 9. Did they hear correctly? I thought that ALL passengers needed b/c's or cards. Thanks!

You don't need passports cruising in the Caribbean - beginning and ending at a US port (like Port Canaveral).

So yes - birth certificates alone are fine for children, birth certificates plus a valid US ID (Drivers License) are fine for adults.

Still a good idea to get the Passport - like you have done - but your friends will be fine. The only trouble is if they need to be evacuated from an island or Mexico. And how often does that happen?
