jell Posted July 14, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 14, 2008 If anyone has stayed in stateroom 8110, on QM2, what is the extent of the obstruction? This would include a crossing and travel in Europe. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Atomica Posted July 14, 2008 #2 Share Posted July 14, 2008 There's some great information regarding the obstructed view balcony cabins on QM2 on this thread, including a great diagram: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?p=14684495
welshred Posted July 14, 2008 #3 Share Posted July 14, 2008 We booked one of these B6 obstructed premium balcony staterooms for the 1 August TA crossing but I recently established from visiting the Cunard website that we have been upgraded to a B2 hull balcony although we are still waiting for our first piece of correspondence from Cunard to confirm this !! We always book an obstructed view balcony and were once *upgraded* to an in hull balcony cabin. We did not like it nearly as much as the obstructed view cabin and on future bookings requested *no upgrades*. It's just a matter of personal opinion as many others prefer the in hull cabins. Very interesting but I have read somewhere else on this forum that the hull balcony is also more suited to a TA crossing rather than a cruise.
