I have read on this board that you can get dramamine, meclazine, alka seltzer and aspirin at the purser's desk for free. Also that you can go to the service desk and ask for a deck of cards.the only other freebies I've heard about are the buy one get one free on the house liquors and beer. sometimes listed as the Witching hour in the freestyle sometimes just announced.Enjoy your cruise Pat

Dang, I just spent $5 on a pack of Meclazine today. I wish NCL would give lanyards... I'm bringing one I got at Cirque du Soleil. The food and drink at the Latitudes party on my last cruise were really good. The 10/20 Mexican Riviera sailing is a "designated" Latitudes cruise, I don't know if that means more perks or not.

Designated Lattitudes cruise usually means "on board credit" for past cruisers.

I like to take the Meclazine for a day or two before the cruise, just to get it in my system.

Yes, we are supposed to get $150 in onboard credit. I had an email from NCL a few days ago saying "Get ready to have fun at the exclusive Latitudes member cocktail party hosted by the Captain himself and look out for special onboard offers and discounts just for you. These will be highlighted in your Welcome Aboard letter waiting for you in your stateroom on arrival. And, of course, you’ll be sure to enjoy your special onboard credit of $150 per stateroom*, good for all onboard purchases except for gratuities and in the casino. With so many wonderful Latitudes Members onboard, we want to be sure that you receive all the pampering treatment you deserve. So, just in case you forget to bring your membership card, you will be receiving Latitudes Membership Cards in your stateroom to help you identify yourself while onboard. But wait, there’s more! As a special treat, Emily, Melody, Andrea & Melissa from our Latitudes Team will be joining you on this cruise. These four wonderful ladies will share the pleasure of greeting you at check-in and hosting your special functions onboard."

They normally have discounts/specials for lattitudes members in the spa and at least one of the bars. I was on a designated lattitude cruises on the SKY but I don't remember anything but the onboard credit.

I enjoy the raffles at the lattitudes party, and usually manage to win something.

Here are the Latitudes freebies I remember from our cruise last December: the onboard credit, cocktail party, a plate of chocolate truffles delivered to our room one evening, a deal on bingo cards which I found out after the fact. The letter we received recently as Latitudes members states the perks will be "highlighted in your Welcome Aboard letter waiting for you in your stateroom on arrival." Just to make sure we don't miss anything this time, I'm going to stop by and talk to the Latitudes rep at the start of the cruise.

If you are into crafts, I have made the beaded bandanas, and a beaded gekko key chain........both free.

You can also see free movies and watch demonstrations on ice carving and napkin folding.....among other free things to do.

Free t-shirts by participating in free exercise sessions. Or Free t-shirt and other gifts for buying drinks in all the bars and getting your bar hopper card filled out.

Free gifts for participating in some of the entertainment/games with the cruise director.

how do you go about obtaining a bar hopper card? I am planning on visiting a few bars, might as well make it worth my while!!! Is there any cost? Do you get any discounted drinks??

There is no charge for the bar hopper cards, and no discounts. Just ask the first bartender who gets you a drink and get started... The more cards you fill the better the gifts. After all the drinks I really don't remember what the different levels offered, but it was fun stopping by each bar during the week.

Hate to be the one to spoil anyone hopes...I just talked with the Latitude desk about the on-board credit, she told me that it was for Latitude cruises only and there are only about 8 a year that you get this on-board credit...we are sailing on the 31st of October on the Dream, and won't be receiving the credit...now if any of you that have gotten this and wasn't on a Latitude cruise, let me know how to go about getting it...PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE...thanks in advance...

I am getting $150 onboard credit, but that is because I am on one of the designated Latitudes cruises. I'm not sure how "great" a deal it is, the price of the fare might not have been as good.
