What are your pet peeves on these boards?

For a Friday afternoon, I am very relaxed, DCT61. I am just envious of Stretch of his weekend plans. Obviously, Stretch, unlike me is already on the weekend since he hasn't replied back, meaning that he is already drinking a beer. The best I can do is to comment on a thread about bad things on a message forum.

The MINI is going south this weekend but not southeast. We have a cabin reserved at Mt Nebo state park in Arkansas this weekend. Unfortunately, the temps are going to be high around 50 with rain. Oh well, DW and I can snuggle up in front of the fireplace and figure out something to do.

My pet peeve is friends that go off on vacation and forget all of us stuck here in the real world.

Ok, this is a major peeve for me, and not just on the boards but in written language everywhere. I can't stand it when people use the possesive tense inappropriately. As in:

Brilliance of the Sea's or

Are there liquor store's in Miami?

 

This just gets on my last nerve. I know we all do it occasionally, but some people just do it all the time and it makes me wonder how they got out of senior English class. Cause Mrs. Nesbitt would have failed them for sure . OK JC, tell me to buck the heck up

But I hate whiners who are never happy. get over it,a vacation unless it was the one from hell, can not be all that bad. Questions asking if something is worth the extra money. The only real answer is 'it depends'. It depends on your budget and your spending habits. And whether somebody else felt it was worth it, is basically irrelevant.

 

To some people paying $10,000 for the Royal Suite is worth the extra money. A lot of other people would rather cruise four times in an inside cabin for the same amount.

Mine is when people point out something that bothers them about the way a prior post was written. We all have opinions, writing styles, signatures, fancy dancing pictures, whatever.... It would be pretty boring here if everyone had the same thing to say or the same way to say it. JMHO

Forgot to add... The REASON that many people do this, is to add credibility to their posts, when someone asks a question... I would trust an answer more, from someone who I know that has been on the ship I am inquiring about, rather than someone who has never even seen that ship, and answers a question based solely on something they have only heard.

Geez! Forgot to add my own pet peeve... I hate looking at the bottom of my screen, only to see... "Opening such and such", and "downloading pictures", repeatedly, even though I have a fast cable modem. Some of these graphics and gifs are really getting out of hand!!! Of course, this is IMO
