CEll Phone Service on the CB

Does anyone know if you can use your cell phone on the CB? We are leaving this Saturday

You can if you are in port and have service from your provider or the like.

 

No service at sea yet. :)

no it is not allowed onboard,you have to wait till you get to next port,then you may place a call,but you have to be onshore first:)));)

The service provider for Princess is Maritime Communications Partner. It is interesting to read the press release, as one of the reasons that this provider was chosen was because they can restrict service from areas of the ship in which Princess does not want cell phones used. Their web site is:

As you wll note the service was to be up and available 2008Q2 for CB and is not up yet. But there are several that were to be up 2008Q1 that are also not up yet. Just a guess on my part is that it will not happen until Drydock in January.
