lorasmom Posted July 18, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 18, 2008 We are looking at a cruise for us and our 3 kids, aged 9, 7, and 21 months. We will probably be sailing next spring (spring break, of course). I am heavily leaning towards Carnival, because they take children as young as 2 yo, and will change diapers. Any thoughts from moms or dads who have BTDT?
dolphinwyo Posted July 18, 2008 #2 Share Posted July 18, 2008 I have only sailed Carnival, but did so with my 2 year old. I assume your 21 month old will be 2 when you sail? They will give you a cell phone, change diapers, and take good care of your kids. However, I can't compare the other cruiselines, there may be some more suitable for you. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Carnival though.
CruizinMom2c Posted July 18, 2008 #3 Share Posted July 18, 2008 i have only sailed carnival....so I am not sure about the other lines... but I think is a good choice...based on price, activities...staff. The camp carnival staff is awesome! They are so nice, we used them for the 2 hour times frame that they babysit during the afternoons...and he had a blast in there playing with them. I cant wait for him to be 2, so he can participate in the programs more...cause I know he will have fun
Fenn4Him@comcast.net Posted July 18, 2008 #4 Share Posted July 18, 2008 Hi. When our 2 boys were 6 and 9 we were able to cruise with Disney. They had an amazing time. Disney is really the best line for small kids, but unfortunately, also expensive. We were lucky to have gotten a huge military discount (don't do that now :( ). If you can afford it, I would highly recommend them. If not, Carnival did a great job with our 3rd son who is now 3. He had a blast! Happy Cruising! It's only on select sailings though. I saw something on the allseasons web site. My brother is Army so I was looking for him. I would also give my vote to Disney. Have a great cruise! lorasmom Posted July 20, 2008 Author #6 Share Posted July 20, 2008 Thanks for the replies. My concern with Disney, is we live in Central FL, and have annual passes. I think I've extended my husband's good will enough with those - he just might snap if I force 3-4 days of non-stop Disney on him :p. Plus, I believe there's no casino on Disney ships? That's kind of a deal breaker. We both love black jack :p The baby will be 2-1/2 when we cruise.
chrystine Posted July 20, 2008 #7 Share Posted July 20, 2008 I have sailed on most of the major cruiselines and for young children, my vote would be for Carnival.
crusinmama06 Posted July 22, 2008 #8 Share Posted July 22, 2008 I agree with Chrystine - for that age - go with Carnival.
