mr green Posted November 24, 2004 #26 Share Posted November 24, 2004 Sorry, but what are side cutters?Like a small pair of pliers to strip cable. Since they normally have a rounded point the tool poses no threat! john taylor.
Happy ks Posted November 24, 2004 #27 Share Posted November 24, 2004 Why not just take and use cable ties? No need to cut anything.
Earthworm Jim Posted November 24, 2004 #28 Share Posted November 24, 2004 Why not just take and use cable ties? No need to cut anything. Don't you have to cut the cable ties? And if you can get them off without cutting them, what purpose are they serving? If you can take them off and put them back on, so could whoever might be stealing things from your luggage.
mr green Posted November 24, 2004 #29 Share Posted November 24, 2004 I think that strap ties are a little more secure. john taylor

Happy ks Posted November 25, 2004 #31 Share Posted November 25, 2004 OK, I thought maybe you were cutting and splicing cable. We pack a very small sewing kit in the side pocket of our checked bag, these include a tiny pair of scissors that can cut the cable ties.

Irishjayne Posted November 27, 2004 #33 Share Posted November 27, 2004 Jayne - This sounds really handy. Do you recall where you found it? - Jane :) Sorry it took so long to respond. walterdrakeinc.com is the website. Search for clocks and it is the 3rd one down. Wouldn't travel without it again. It was $4.99 too. Suggestion: Don't put the batteries in it until you get there and take them out when you pack to disembark.

There will be room for those if you leave out the anchor. :p Slinkie

curlyred Posted November 30, 2004 #37 Share Posted November 30, 2004 A few things that I don't want to be without would be; waterproof band aids, leave in conditioner to keep hair from frying in the sun, travel packets of nail polish remover pads, thank you cards, small bikini area razor, small french press and fresh roasted coffee, sense of humor and lots of money. travel girl23 Posted November 30, 2004 #39 Share Posted November 30, 2004 I might have missed it, but I didn't see an 8x10" envelope with piece of cardboard to keep photos from getting bent. This was a great idea on our last cruise. Read it first on CC.
franzi56 Posted December 4, 2004 #40 Share Posted December 4, 2004 Last cruise I travelled with two other adults in a mini suite. I brought a shoe bag that hung over the bathroom door. We were able to put all of our toiletries in the mesh pockets. This bag had lots of room. We were able to put other small items in the pockets as well. It helped keep the cabin and especially the bathroom neat and all of our necessities handy.
