I am looking for suggestions for hotels in fort lauderdale...close to peir and within easy walking distance to store and restaurants. Specifically I want to buy some cokes to take on the ship and we won't have a car?

We have stayed at both the Holiday Inn Express Convention Center

on 17th and the Embassy Suites on 17th.

Either one would work well for what you are asking for.

In fact we are staying at the Embassy Suites again March 10th

before our Regent Seven Seas Navigator Cruise

Next to the Holiday Inn is Extended Stay. It is clean and very reasonably priced. You can walk to the water taxi and there are numerous stores on 17th street.

Thanks for all the wonderful information about the hotels in FLL. I just booked Extended Stay for 3 adults for $118.00 and that was much cheaper than Sleep Inn & Suites at $182.00.

If you sign up to be included on their e-mail list, you can print a coupon for $10.00 off...and it can be used on this hotel stay. They will take it off when you sign in at the hotel.
