lateuk Posted July 21, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 21, 2008 I have just noticed our room is a "Connecting stateroom" what does this mean?
Rare NorbertsNiece Posted July 21, 2008 #2 Share Posted July 21, 2008 It means that the cabin next door would be accessible to you via a connecting door, should you have booked that cabin. If you haven't booked it the connecting door will be locked. This kind of arrangement suits families with young children etc...... :)
lateuk Posted July 22, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted July 22, 2008 We have not booked the cabin next door, i hope this means we do not get too much noise from our neighbours. I guess a door is far less sound proof than a wall. Anyone have any experience of this?
alphakitty Posted July 22, 2008 #4 Share Posted July 22, 2008 I had a connecting room, cabin 7600, on Indy on the Pre-Inaugural. I didn't hear a peep from the room next door. :)
emmad1973 Posted July 22, 2008 #5 Share Posted July 22, 2008 We had a connecting room on the Mariner in May. I didn't even know we had neighbours :-) I think that the doors on the ships are probably made from the same stuff as the walls :) Emma
snausman Posted July 22, 2008 #6 Share Posted July 22, 2008 I have just noticed our room is a "Connecting stateroom" what does this mean? On our first cruise we had a connecting cabin, had no problems with our neighbors. But if there is another cabin in your cat. see if you can change to it. Enjoy your cruise.
