Just under two months out... I'd say there's a pretty fair chance that in that period of time that two cabins will open up... Stuff happens... Out of a group of 2000+ folks I'd be surprised if plans didn't change for four or five folks...

Good luck! Let us know how it goes!

Just a suggestion... Call once or twice a day, am and pm to see if a cabin has opened up... Yes, they'll take your money and tell you where you are in waitlist but... if I call up today and someone cancelled late last night, they would give me the cabin on the spot before checking a waitlist list....

I, like Host Mach, also believe you will get a cabin but you might have to be the one to go after it... Good luck

Great advice. Just curious - why was your Costa cruise the biggest mistake ever?

This is just our experience, but my parents went on the wait list just 4 days before our April cruise (was waiting on work schedule confirmation) and ended up getting confirmed with a room the next day, just three days before we set sail. Our PVP said that cancellations or changes happen all the time and as long as you and your PVP are on top of it you should be fine.:D

Great advice. Just curious - why was your Costa cruise the biggest mistake ever?

First, and most important, let me say that I had a good time on Costa and ALL of my cruises... I've never had a bad cruise but Costa just wasn't for us...

1. There were alot of non-American passengers and although I know that Americans can be rude, these passengers were beyond rude. They pushed in front of me on the buffet line, pushed me out of the way getting on and off the ship, pushed me/squeezed me into the person next to me so hard in the Showroom that I actually had to get up and move etc.

2. All the announcements were said in 5 different languages, English being the last. Even at the shows the CD would speak in only Italian.

3. I tried the first 3 nights at dinner to order a bed of lettuce... how hard can that be? VERY.... I never did get it so I just gave up.. To think that even the Maitre'd didn't know what a bed of lettuce was...

4. I truly enjoy spending time in the Casino and 3 Card Poker. The Costa dealers were the most unfriendly, unhappy, nasty and rude dealers I've ever encountered ANYWHERE.... Never smiled, no thank you when I tipped them etc. Also, and this was a problem for me throughout the week, like I said, I love 3 Card Poker. On Costa, they only had 1 table open the entire week with a waiting list every single night. The waiting list had a minimum of 5 people on it all the time. I and the other passengers asked the Casino Host to open up another table and they never did.

Now, I am far from a picky eater. As a matter of fact, give me a hot dog and pizza and I'm fine... So, that shouldn't/wouldn't stop me from cruising a particular line. I don't really care what languages are spoken, although if a ship leaves from Pt Everglades, I would hope that English would be the main language. I would also like the CD to speak English. I would like the kids to have something to do. The teens were totally bored out of their minds on the Magica. I also remember the ship being for lack of a better word "dead" at night. For example, when the Magica left a Port (and I don't remember which Port), there were only 18 people up on the Lido Deck as the ship was pulling out. Right next to us was the Carnival Miracle and their were hundreds of people laughing, dancing and waving to us (we actually had friends on that ship that we were waving to!!)... The casino also closed fairly early on Costa. So, those are just some of the reasons that I didn't like Costa and, Yes, the price for Costa was very good, but sometimes cost isn't the most important thing....

Hope this clears up some things... Everyone has their own "little thing" and those are mine.... Whats important to me might not be important to you...

One of the cruise agents on this site is showing the ship booked.. But Yahoo is showing Ocean Views available

i see that to on Yahoo but when you get up to Select a Stateroom Category with the picture of a ship it shows no cabins are available

Be sure to check a few times a day if you have time by calling Carnival and looking around other websites. For one my Victory cruises 2 cabins opened up for us 12 days before sailing. I think you should be able to get on, just keep checking, and good luck!
